4 Day Safari Manyara, Ngorongoro, Southern Serengeti

Early morning pick up from your hotel in Arusha. Drive to Lake Manyara National Park (approx. 2 hours). Lake Manyara is a small but diverse park stretching along the Great Rift Valley escarpment. Famous for tree-climbing lions, large flocks of flamingos and hippos in the hot springs. Enjoy a picnic lunch at a scenic viewpoint. Afternoon game drive searching for elephants, giraffes, zebras and baboons in the groundwater forest. Over 400 bird species recorded. Drive to Karatu for dinner and overnight.

After an early breakfast, drive to the Ngorongoro Conservation Area gate. Descend 600 meters into the Ngorongoro Crater — a UNESCO World Heritage Site and one of the Natural Wonders of the World. The crater floor covers 260 sq km and is home to nearly 40,000 animals. Morning game drive tracking the Big Five: lions, elephants, buffalo, leopards and the rare black rhino. Picnic lunch at the crater floor with stunning views. Afternoon continue game viewing then ascend the crater rim and drive to Angata Luxury Camp in Southern Serengeti.

Full day game drive from Ndutu in the Northern Ngorongoro to Southern Serengeti. This area is the heart of the Great Wildebeest Migration during calving season (January to March). Watch as thousands of wildebeest give birth to their young, attracting predators like lions, cheetahs and hyenas. See large herds of zebras, elands and gazelles. Picnic lunch in the bush with panoramic views of the Serengeti plains. Continue game viewing in the afternoon, tracking predators and the migration herds.

After an early breakfast, enjoy a final morning game drive at Ndutu. Search for any wildlife you may have missed and take in the stunning landscapes. Late morning drive to Ndutu Airport for your flight back to Arusha or Kilimanjaro. End of your safari adventure.
